"In 10 sessions, you will feel the difference;

in 20 sessions, you will see the difference;

and in 30 sessions, you will have a whole new body."

- Joseph Pilates

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a gentle yet powerful method of movement that builds core strength, improves posture, and enhances flexibility. Through mindful, precise exercises, it encourages balance, body awareness, and ease of movement—helping to restore both strength and confidence.

Pilates can be practiced on the mat or with specialized equipment such as the Reformer, Chair, Arc, and Tower. These tools use spring resistance to either support or challenge your body, making the method adaptable for all ages, abilities, and stages of healing. Whether you are recovering from injury, managing stress, or simply seeking a balanced way to care for your body, Pilates offers a restorative practice that supports lasting wellness.

I’m new to Pilates. Should I start with a private session?

Yes! Private sessions are the best way to get comfortable with Pilates exercises and equipment. Check out our Intro to Pilates Privates for a special rate to help you get started. Privates are especially valuable if you are recovering from an injury, managing a medical condition, or are more than 20 weeks pregnant. Your instructor can assess your needs, ensure safety, and provide modifications before you transition into group classes.

What time should I arrive for class?

If this is your first visit, please arrive at least 10 minutes early to complete paperwork, arrange payment, and take a brief studio tour. If you’re brand new to Pilates, arriving early also gives us time to introduce you to the equipment. Returning clients should plan to arrive at least 5 minutes before class or a private session. Please enter quietly, as other classes or privates may be in progress.

What should I bring?

We recommend wearing grip socks during class for safety and stability. You’re welcome to bring water to keep by your mat or equipment. Please store all other personal belongings (bags, phones, non-water drinks, etc.) in the cubbies. For safety and to reduce distractions, fans and personal equipment are not permitted in the studio.

What is your late arrival and cancellation policy?

  • Group Classes: For safety reasons, clients arriving more than 5 minutes late may not be admitted. Late arrival without proper warm-up increases injury risk and disrupts class flow. A missed entry counts as a forfeit of the reserved class.

  • Privates: Arriving more than 15 minutes late without notice is considered a late cancellation.

·

  • Cancellations: Any cancellation made within 12 hours of the scheduled class or 24 hours for a private session will be considered a Late Cancel and the session will be forfeited. Please cancel 24+ hours in advance to retain your session.

What is the age requirement?

  • Group Classes & Privates: Ages 15+ are welcome.

       Can I attend if I’m pregnant or have a medical condition?

       Yes—with precautions. Always consult your physician before starting any new exercise program.

  • Pregnancy: Pilates can be safe and beneficial during pregnancy. If you are new to Pilates or more than 20 weeks pregnant, we recommend starting with private sessions. If you were already attending classes prior to pregnancy, you may continue—just let your instructor know so we can offer appropriate modifications.

  • Medical Conditions or Injuries: Medical clearance may be required before starting, and private sessions are strongly recommended to ensure safety. Please inform your instructor of any conditions so we can tailor the practice to your needs.
